First Halloween
Sawyer was Peter Pan for his first Halloween. They had a storybook character parade at day care and it was such a hoot! All the pre-school kids were so cute! Sawyer melted down before he paraded through because he didn't want to wear his hat. Lol! Oh well. He was super cute anyway! That night we passed out candy and then watched The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown in our PJs. It was a good first Halloween.
7 months
Sawyer is growing and becoming more and more fun everyday! He has such a sweet and funny personality. I am so blessed to be his mommy!
Stats:
17 lbs, 12.5 oz
28in long
3-6 mos clothes (finally moved to 6-9 mos this week!)
Size 2 diapers (moved into 3s this week)
He had his first bout of fever this month. He was diagnosed with mild croup. His fever lasted for about 3-4 days. He was so pitiful. :(
We have a tooth coming through. He is not feeling great as a result, but he keeps that sweet personality most of the time.
Here are some pics.

6 months
Sawyer will be 7 months tomorrow! Clearly I'm behind! Here are his stats from 6 months.
Weight - 16lbs, 12oz (31%tile)
Length - 27.5in (79%tile)
Some things he accomplished this month. He has completely mastered sitting up and transitioning from sitting up to being on his belly so he can roll around. He can turn himself around on his belly and sort of scoot/inch his way forward and backward to get whatever it is he's trying to get. He is still very vocal in the sense that he hollers all the time. He isn't really babbling bc he's too busy hollering. The Dr wasn't worried about it so I won't be either. He got a perfect bill of health at the Dr, and he's growing and developing right on schedule.
Some things he loves-
His jumpy. He bounces or jumps 90% of the time! Even when he's not in his jumpy!
His walker. He thinks it's hysterical to chase Brooklyn all over the house. Bless her heart she just let's him do it.
His loveys, bear and monkey. He sleeps on his belly now with them in a headlock. It's so cute!!
Musical toys and really anything he can make a racket with!
Brooklyn and sawyer have become better friends as of late. She tolerates everything he does/tries to do to her. And she Lays near him on the floor and sniffs or licks him occasionally. He just watches her all the time and giggles. He may love her more, but the feeling is becoming more mutual I think!

Fall Break
My fall break has come to a close. :(. It was a great week of being a SAHM. I got to spend lots of time with my boys and just soaked in every second with Sawyer. It hurts my heart so much to know that for the majority of his first 2 years of life (at least) I only get to be with him for 4 hours a day.
But enough of the sad stuff. Here is a run down of the week. Glenn and I took Sawyer to Noah's Ark for the first time. He looked at everything but the animals! Lol! We all had fun though. We ran errands, went for walks, visited with friends, and just had a great week spending time together. Here are some pics from our week.

5 months (backtracking)
Even though Sawyer is currently 6 mos I realized I never did a 5 month post. 5 months was a big month for him so I wanted to recap some of the highlights.
Weight - 15lbs
Clothes - 3-6 mos
Diapers - 1/2
Our boy was busy this month! He learned to roll from his back to belly, and now prefers to sleep on his belly and play on his belly. It's so funny how once they learn to roll they suddenly like being on their belly! He also learned to sit up by himself. He is super proud of himself! He no longer likes to be reclined. He either wants to be sitting up or laying down so he can roll. He started eating veggies and fruits. So far he hasn't met a food he doesn't like. But so far his favorites are carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches, pears, and cereal. He LOVES his cereal! He is becoming more and more vocal everyday. He loves to babble, blow raspberries, and just holler. He has such a happy, sweet, silly personality. He grins huge grins all the time! We are truly blessed to be this little boy's mommy and daddy. He is amazing.
Some of his favorites:
- bear
- Brooklyn (he wants to grab her and watch her all the time, she cracks him up!)
- anything he can grab and put in his mouth
- music
- Itsy bitsy spider and the hokey pokey
Here is a pic of our little man at 5 months.

1st trip to the park
Today is Labor Day so Glenn and I both had the day off to spend together at home with Sawyer. Even though it was a rainy day we decided to head to the park this evening for a walk through the woodsy trail and a little playground time on the swings. Sawyer LOVES being outside and he was having a ball on our walk looking at all of the trees and just squealing and hollering to his little heart's content. He also really enjoyed the swings. He gets so excited with his whole body when he really likes something and his arms and legs were just flailing around and he was squealing and grinning away. It was a great day with my boys!

We have a sitter!
Sawyer started tripod sitting a couple of weeks ago. But by the end of last week he was sitting for real. He looks so proud of himself and definitely prefers sitting up to laying down these days. Such a big boy!
